Beginners Driving Course

Experience level:

You’re looking for a beginner driving course that starts off with the absolute basics!

Description:

A beginner learning to drive in Kenya, you can’t beat practicing on different types of roads in and around the area to broaden your experience. Our lessons are designed to ensure you become a safe and confident driver.

We’ll cover off everything to help you pass your test, including:

​

• Cockpit drill, Safety checks  Moving away and stopping

• Signals,  Your position on the road,  Mirrors and blind spots

• Junctions and roundabouts, Meeting traffic, Speed, Emergency stop,

• Parallel parking, Hazard awareness, Turning your car, Reversing,

• Planning and independent driving, Darkness and weather conditions,

• Passengers and loads.

Lapsed Learner Driving Course

You’re a fairly experienced driver who needs to work on a couple of key skills

our working lives, we all accept the benefit of ongoing training to help us keep up to date. With this in mind, it makes sense to take the same approach with our driving!

Description

You gave up on driving because you didn’t get on with your instructor, if your practical test was a nightmare or if life simply got in the way, you are still way ahead of a lot of people.

You’ve probably got a lot of experience and skills under your belt already; it is just that your experience just needs a bit of tweaking. We’re here to help you build confidence on the road, pass your test and become a safe driver for the rest of your life.

Even if you’ve failed your driving test, it’s not the end of the world. In fact, if you already know what it’s like to sit a test, you can prepare yourself better for the big day. We’ll help you figure out what went wrong the first time around and we’ll work on that with you.

Refresher Driving Course

Description

The value of post-test training is widely accepted as beneficial throughout the driving industry. It’s something that provides the newly qualified driver with an opportunity to further develop and hone their skills.

​

There’s also an increasing number of people who have held a licence for a number of years and are realising that they too would benefit from extra tuition. Many are taking a refresher course.

At Joypat, our refresher courses cover a wide range of driving situations. Bespoke courses are designed to provide help and support to drivers.

Pass Plus Driving Course

Ever wondered why it can be so expensive for new drivers to get car insurance? It’s because after 40 to 80 hours of driving experience, most people forget that they’re still an inexperienced driver.

​

Obviously the last thing you want is to have an accident. So, what are the options for reducing the chances of being involved in an accident?

A Pass Plus course will enable you to gain confidence and valuable experience after passing your test, including learning how to reduce the risk of accidents.

​

Our Pass Plus course is a ten-hour package, which includes the following in-car tuition:

• Dual carriageways

• Motorway driving

• Rural roads

• Complicated city situations

• All weather conditions

• Night driving.

Motorway Driving Course

This course is designed for those new drivers who wish to fine-tune their road skills and take it to the next level with advanced driving lessons.

Motorcycle Driving Course

If you want to obtain a full motorbike licence there are different classes of motorbike and what you can ride fundamentally depends on your age. Motorbikes are indicated on your driving licence by categories; A1, A2 and A3.

​

Category A (Also known as ‘full power’ or ‘Direct Access’ - DAS) covers machines unlimited in size (minimum 595cc) and power, with or without a sidecar, and motor tricycles with a power output of more than 50kW or 67bhp.

To ride a Category A motorcycle you either need to be 16 years old or more to proceed with ‘Direct Access’ training on this category of motorbike or you can ride this category from age 21 if you have two years' experience on an A2 motorcycle and you pass a further practical test on a category A3 motorcycle.

(You revert to 'L' status for the training and testing sessions. On passing the required tests you can upgrade to the larger machine. If you don't pass you can continue to ride on the full category already obtained).
